Ultrasuede Cardigan

Inspired by vintage suede front cardigans, we did this one up in Outlier fashion. We used Ultrasuede for the front panels, polyester microfiber that has suede’s soft hand but is breathable, stain resistant and fully machine washable. The sleeves and back are that soft and sturdy double faced nylon/merino we used in our Technical Merino Cardigan. Ultrasuede covered buttons are aluminum backed so they don't rust. An Outlier winter experiment.

Ultrasuede is a durable polyester microfiber that has suede’s soft hand but none of it’s weight. It's light and breathable, stain resistant and fully machine washable. Nylon/merino has a durability and subtle structure not found in merino-only garments. The nylon inner and soft merino outer balance the technical and natural performance of the fibers.

Front panels: 80% polyester ultra-microfiber, 20% polyurethane binder

Back and Sleeves: 60% 18 micron merino wool, 40% nylon
